The cultural agenda for the upcoming months is packed with 25 diverse activities including workshops, dance performances, conferences, book presentations, film screenings, storytelling sessions, live music, and engaging book clubs. Renowned personalities such as dancer Agustín Barajas, musician Ricardo Lezón from McEnroe, dancer Leonor Leal, and poet Violeta Nieblas are among the highlights of the program. The Library of Contemporary Cultures, situated in the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, aims to be a dynamic and inclusive space that fosters active participation from its users. The rich lineup covers a wide range of disciplines such as dance, workshops, cinema, music, and literary events. For instance, the month of January will feature events like a film screening on Agatha Christie, a body expression workshop on flamenco dance, and a music performance by Ricardo Mazon. February and March will continue the cultural extravaganza with activities ranging from children’s storytelling to writing workshops, film tributes, fashion workshops, and creative writing sessions. The library has quickly become a cultural hub in Estepona, attracting numerous visitors and hosting prominent figures in the arts. The Estepona City Council is already looking ahead to future projects, including new cycles of events, an exciting children’s program, and the upcoming Estepona Literary Festival (FLEST) which promises to further elevate the city’s cultural scene.
