Estepona City Council’s Festive Plans for Carnival 2026 Announced

The dates for the Carnival celebration in 2026 are set for February 7 and 8. Estepona’s City Council has put together an exciting program of events for the upcoming Carnival festivities. Festivities Councillor Macarena Diánez unveiled a diverse lineup of activities aimed at engaging audiences of all ages. On Saturday, the program includes performances by various carnival groups such as the ‘Menuda Noche’ Chirigota from Estepona and San Pedro Alcantara, the ‘El desvelo de Marbella’ Comparsa, and the ‘Los Mejores’ Chirigota from Estepona. The day will culminate in the glamorous Gala Drag Queen Estepona event at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos. Sunday will feature a Children’s Party with entertainment groups and a parade to select the best costumes of NINFA and MOMO, followed by the Costume Contest Awards Ceremony and various performances, including the ‘Los Mejores’ Chirigota. The festivities will wrap up with a Carnival Parade and the traditional Burial of the Sardine at the Fairgrounds.
