The urgent intervention by Estepona City Council aims to address the extensive damage caused by recent heavy rains on urban roads. Municipal technicians and local police have assessed the situation and identified the areas most affected by potholes and sinkholes, where immediate repairs will be carried out. Deputy mayor Ana Velasco stated that over twenty locations, including Litoral Avenue, Puerta del Mar, and Avenida del Carmen, have been severely impacted. The repair efforts will be complemented by the VI Plan of Asphalting, focusing on suburban streets once weather conditions improve. Additionally, the council has called on the central government to urgently address road surface issues on the A-7 highway, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive intervention to ensure the safety of drivers.
