Estepona’s Consistory will designate former councilor Maria Miralles, guitarist Jose Fernandez, and professor and historian Francisco Medina as Favorite Sons of Estepona. A special event will take place at the Auditorium Felipe VI on Saturday, February 28, at 12.30 pm to recognize the health sector of the city. The City Council aims to express gratitude to all health centers in Estepona, public and private, for their dedicated service to the community. The ceremony will also pay tribute to distinguished medical professionals who have made significant contributions to the well-being of Estepona residents. Various hospitals and medical centers, including Estepona High Resolution Hospital, Hospiten, and Vithas Medical Center, will receive special mentions. Notable doctors and nursing staff will also be recognized for their outstanding work. In addition, the event will honor volunteer interpreters who have assisted foreign citizens in need of translation at medical facilities. The City Council has also decided to confer the titles of Favorite Sons of Estepona to Maria Miralles, Jose Fernandez, and Francisco Medina in recognition of their remarkable achievements. The raising of the Andalusian flag will take place on February 28 at 12.00 noon at the traffic circle on Avenida Libertad and Camino Vereda de los Frailes, paying tribute to Blas Infante, the father of the Andalusian homeland.
