Estepona City Council announces that on Tuesday, March 10 at 20:00, a seminar on ‘Tamara de Lempicka’ will take place at the Library of Contemporary Cultures of the Mirador del Carmen, conducted by Rocio Garin, teacher at the Drawing and Painting Workshop of the municipal delegation of Culture. The discussion will focus on the life and works of the Polish artist Tamara de Lempicka, renowned for her Art Deco style portraits and nudes, which made her a prominent figure in Europe, particularly in France and the United States. The event, open to all age groups and with free admission, aims to cultivate interest in the visual arts and is part of the International Women’s Day celebrations. Rocio Garín, an artist from Estepona, has been passionate about drawing and painting since a young age. She studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Algeciras and later at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Seville, graduating in 2001. Returning to Estepona in 2002, she has been teaching drawing and painting, alongside her roles as a researcher, artist, and teacher. In 2013, she authored a ‘Manual of Drawing and Painting’, outlining essential techniques and tools for beginner students.
