Registration period open for Estepona City Council’s Queens and Ladies of the Fair and Festivities 2026

The period for submitting nominations for Queens and Ladies of the Fair and Festivities 2026 in Estepona is open from April 6 to May 1, 2026. The selection and crowning of the Cortejo will occur on May 29, at 8:00 p.m., at the Plaza del Ajedrez. Estepona’s City Council has announced that the deadline for nominations for the Queens and Ladies of the Fair and Festivities 2026 has started on April 6. The event is scheduled to take place from July 7 to 12. According to the regulations, candidates must be residents of Estepona and present a copy of their national identity card for the Youth category, along with a contact number. Minors without ID must provide a copy of the family book registration and a signed authorization form from both parents or legal guardians, available on the City Council’s website. The competition includes two categories: Children, open to girls aged 7 to 11, and Youth, for individuals aged 17 to 23. Those who have previously held the title of Queens in the same category or have been elected as Queens or Ladies in other festivals in Estepona this year, such as the Festivities of San Isidro Labrador or the Virgen del Carmen, are ineligible. The Councilor for Festivities, Macarena Diánez, has revealed that the selection and crowning of the Fair and Festivities procession, comprising a Queen and four ladies in each category, will take place on May 29 at 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Ajedrez. Children’s candidates will be selected through a draw. The regulations are posted on the Town Hall’s Notice Board. Registrations can be submitted in person or through the Electronic Headquarters at the General Register of the City Council, addressed to the Festivals municipal delegation, from April 6 to May 1, 2026.
