The Estepona City Council has announced that the section of San Lorenzo Avenue, running from Africa Street to Prolongación Cristo Rey street, is now open to traffic following extensive renovation works on the sewerage and supply networks. The road has been transformed into a two-way traffic system to accommodate the increased flow. The project, carried out by Hidralia, covered an area of approximately 2,800 square meters, including both the road and sidewalk. The upgrades involved replacing water and sanitation pipelines to meet new pressure and flow requirements, as well as standardizing the sidewalk width on the east side. The parking facility beneath City Hall, which was impacted by the construction, is also now available for public use. With a capacity for 131 vehicles, the underground parking is part of the city’s network and costs 1 euro per day for drivers.
