Starting tomorrow, May 6, submissions are welcome until May 29. Estepona’s City Council has introduced the III Photography Contest ‘Cover program Cancelada Fair 2026’. Begoña Ortíz, the deputy mayor of the Extraradio area, stated that participants can enter photographs capturing a moment, memory, or joyful experience at the Cancelada fair. The deadline for entries is from May 6 to 29, with the display of proposals taking place at the mayor’s office multipurpose room in Cancelada. The top photograph will receive a prize of 150 euros and become the cover of this year’s fair program. Furthermore, the winner will be presented with a 100-euro fruit basket from Frutas Infantes. Rules for participation include submitting two copies of an original, unpublished photo in color and black and white, along with a JPEG file. The theme is ‘Feria de Cancelada 2026’, with no restrictions on style or technique. The photographs should be A4 in size and submitted to the mayor’s office on Montemayor Street. The jury will select the entries for public exhibition until their final decision on June 12. The winning photograph will be chosen by a jury appointed by the City Council, and the decision will be announced during the Fair of Cancelada 2026 coronation ceremony. The City Council will award a 150-euro prize along with the fruit basket. The Council will have all intellectual property rights over the winning work, including use, reproduction, and dissemination. By participating, entrants agree to the rules available on the website www.estepona.es and at the Cancelada Tenencia notice board.
The photography competition for the program cover of the Cancelada fair is announced by the Municipal Council.
