Scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 09.00 to 14.00 hours, the City Council of Estepona has announced the VI Open-air Speed Painting Contest ‘Estepona, Paradise of the Costa del Sol’. The main objective of this event is to encourage artistic expression and showcase the natural beauty and architectural heritage of the city. Participants, aged 16 and above, are required to create a painting depicting a landscape, corner, or recognizable feature of Estepona within the designated time frame and location. The use of terraces or obstructing access to buildings is strictly prohibited. Artists must be physically present during the contest and provide their own materials. The artwork should be on a rigid support measuring 50×70 centimeters and displayed on an easel with a hanging system. Works must be submitted at Casa de Las Tejerinas by 2:00 p.m. on the contest day for judging by a panel of esteemed individuals in the art industry. Winners will receive cash prizes and have their pieces included in the city’s art collection. The selected works will be exhibited at Casa de Las Tejerinas from June 1 to 15, 2026.
