Individuals interested in participating are required to collect the application form from the Social Services Municipal Delegation on 31 San Lorenzo Avenue and submit the completed form at the City Hall’s Registry Office. The Estepona City Council has opened the registration period for the next round of cost-free workshops focusing on Gardening, Electricity, Plumbing, and Masonry. These workshops are designed for individuals aged between 16 and 24 who are either not enrolled in any training programs or are currently unemployed. To enroll in these workshops, applicants need to obtain the application form from the Social Services Municipal Delegation situated at Avenida San Lorenzo 31 and hand it in at the Town Hall’s Registry Office. Throughout the year, the Council organizes three cycles of these workshops, each lasting three months. Participants receive a total of 250 hours of training, encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects. Practical sessions are carried out in companies that have agreements with the municipal services, providing students with hands-on experience and the opportunity to tackle real-life scenarios that are common in their respective professions. Moreover, students engage in community work, assisting local associations and under the guidance of professionals. The Gardening workshop also includes training on the proper use of phytosanitary products, a crucial skill for those pursuing a career in this field. The educational program also covers job search strategies, information sessions on drug abuse prevention, workplace safety, household fire prevention, as well as recreational and sports activities. Each year, the City Council trains nearly fifty young individuals in these sought-after professions, many of whom successfully enter the job market. Local companies highly value the participants of these workshops due to their high level of preparedness upon completion of the training.
