Scheduled for Thursday at 6.30 p.m., the event will be open to the public until full capacity is reached. Daniel Jurado, renowned Economics teacher at IES Mediterráneo de Estepona and educational advocate, will present his book ‘Metaecoverso. The classroom that shatters barriers’ at the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall in the Casa de Las Tejerinas. Jurado, honored as the Best Teacher in Andalusia and the third best in Spain at the Educa Abanca 2024 Awards, has also been recognized as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIE Expert) for the academic year 25/26, a global acknowledgment bestowed upon leading educators in innovative teaching and technology integration. The book ‘Metaecoverso’ introduces a fresh approach to education, blending artificial intelligence, technology, social media, and interactive methodologies to create a vibrant, emotional, and reality-linked learning environment. It advocates for a shift in teaching paradigms by incorporating technology and active strategies without compromising the human aspect of education, aiming to enhance educators rather than replace them and infuse more depth and purpose into the learning process. Through practical guidance, tangible examples, and actionable classroom proposals, educators will learn how to craft engaging, inclusive, and impactful learning experiences for their students. ‘Metaecoverso’ is not merely a concept but a philosophy that views education as a dynamic, interconnected, and vital domain where knowledge is nurtured through emotion, engagement, and significance. The focus is not on teaching more but on teaching better, by fusing knowledge with emotion to help each student discover their unique learning path. This book serves as a practical manual for teachers seeking to transform their classrooms into lively, emotional, and tech-savvy spaces that resonate with the digital era. Daniel Jurado Aguilar, an Economics teacher and educational communicator at IES Mediterráneo de Estepona, holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Malaga and boasts over a decade of teaching experience. As the brain behind the Metaecoverso initiative, he champions innovative teaching methods centered on motivation, inclusivity, and emotional engagement. His tireless efforts have earned him accolades such as the Best Teacher in Andalusia and the third best in Spain at the Educa Abanca 2024 Awards, along with the title of Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIE Expert) for the academic year 25/26. Through workshops, educational initiatives, and social media presence, Jurado shares his insights and practical tools with educators from diverse backgrounds, advocating for teaching that inspires, captivates, and equips students for the challenges of tomorrow.
