A comprehensive program for LGTBIQ+ Pride celebrations, organized in collaboration with drag performers Débora Men and La Camacha, has been revealed by Estepona Municipal Government. The events, scheduled from June 15 to 20, will feature exhibitions, workshops, film screenings, discussions, and a large protest march on June 20. The focus of this year’s programming is on cultural activities that promote diversity, equality, and the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community. The Mayor emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that foster respect, equality, and visibility for the LGTBIQ+ collective, inviting both locals and visitors to join in a program designed to celebrate coexistence and freedom. Festivities will kick off on June 15 with the inauguration of art exhibitions by José Larios and ‘The Root of Pride’ at the Adult School. The program will include a literary presentation, a banner workshop, a themed talk on transformism principles, and a screening of the film ‘Pride’. The highlight of the celebrations will be the protest parade on June 20, starting from the Orchidarium and concluding at Plaza del Reloj with the raising of the flag and a special proclamation by Aurora ‘Charlie’. The day will culminate in a vibrant Pride party at Plaza del Reloj, offering a space for celebration, visibility, and unity.
