The III Estepona Literary Festival, organized by the Estepona Town Hall, is set to feature a lineup of renowned artists and writers, including Luis Alberto de Cuenca and Paloma Sanchez-Garnica. Taking place from June 26th to 28th at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, the event will showcase a diverse range of cultural activities. The opening ceremony will include an exhibition by the artist Brianda Fitz James Stuart, followed by various discussions, workshops, and performances throughout the festival. Estepona Mayor, José María García Urbano, emphasized the city’s commitment to promoting culture and the arts, highlighting the significance of the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center as a cultural hub in the region. Festival director, Alejandro Simon Partal, underscored the cultural richness of the event, which aims to engage the public with a wide range of artistic expressions, from literature to music to film. The festival will also feature activities for youth, including workshops and discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence and the future of literature. Notable guests such as Belén Cuesta, Enrique Vila-Matas, and Estrella Morente will lead various sessions, culminating in a closing dialogue by Pedro Piqueras. The festival will offer a bookstore space for authors to sign copies of their works, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with the writers and purchase their books.
