Commencing this week, the municipality will be conducting a thorough cleaning operation on the 28 sunshade structures that were installed as part of the complete renovation of the Promenade. The Estepona City Council has announced the commencement of a comprehensive cleaning project for all the umbrellas along the Paseo Marítimo, aiming to enhance their condition and improve the visual aspect of this prominent city space. The cleaning process, carried out by a specialized company, involves the removal of debris and other accumulated waste within the umbrellas, as well as interior and exterior cleaning using specialized techniques like pH-neutral products, mechanical brushing, and controlled pressure water. These methods, gentle yet effective, ensure the preservation of the materials and extend the lifespan of the structures. The operation, equipped with specialized tools including a lifting platform, is scheduled to be completed within the week. It is essential to highlight the significance of these preventive measures in maintaining the street furniture against the harsh weather conditions and coastal salinity. These activities complement the regular cleaning and conservation programs conducted throughout the year in the promenade and other public areas of the city. Through this initiative, the City Council underscores its dedication to preserving the urban heritage, contributing to the promenade’s appeal as a secure and inviting space for everyone.
