The lifeguard and beach patrol service has been activated by the Estepona City Council on the beaches of La Rada, El Cristo, El Padrón, El Saladillo, and Arroyo Vaquero. This service will be available from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. until September 15. In La Rada and El Cristo, there will also be an assisted bathing service for individuals with limited mobility. A team of 47 personnel will be on duty for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the next three months. The service includes monitoring swimming areas, responding to incidents, conducting rescues, and providing information on beach safety regulations. Additionally, lifeguard services will be provided at the Santo Tomás de Aquino sports complex. Beaches will have a total of around thirty lifeguards on duty. The service includes medical personnel, a rescue boat, and necessary equipment. An assisted bathing service for individuals with reduced mobility will also be available until September 15. Risk Assessment Plans and operational plans are in place to ensure beach safety in collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
