A total of four new pressure washers, operated by eight workers, will be added to the existing six units, along with street-cleaning trucks, scrapers, and sweepers. This expansion aims to increase service frequency, improve incident response, and enhance daily maintenance. The new teams will be permanently stationed in specific zones, allowing for a more efficient cleaning process and quicker response to neighborhood needs. With a focus on strengthening street cleaning, the Estepona City Council is reorganizing the cleaning service contract to provide better service in all neighborhoods. The investment of 180,000 euros will cover the costs of new machinery, personnel, and maintenance. In addition, during the summer months, water tankers will intensify street washing activities to accommodate the increase in visitors. By utilizing the municipal water supply network, the street-cleaning crews will ensure compliance with health regulations. This expansion of services reflects the City Council’s commitment to maintaining public spaces and creating a cleaner and more enjoyable environment for residents and tourists.
