Progress on the construction of Estepona’s future boulevard is gaining momentum, thanks to the completion of underground utility lines and the parking garage foundation, which is now 75% finished. The project, located around San Lorenzo, Juan Carlos I, and España avenues, represents the culmination of Estepona’s significant urban transformation. Recent developments include the connection of Juan Carlos I Avenue to San Roque and Melilla Streets, the opening of San Lorenzo Avenue to pedestrians, and accessible entry points along España Avenue. The infrastructure work on Juan Carlos I Avenue is 60% complete, with efforts underway to link it to perpendicular streets. The parking garage foundation work is 75% done, with an expected August completion date. The boulevard will connect the Mediterranean promenade to the renovated historic center, offering a distinctive urban space featuring plazas, water features, and parks. It will also provide parking for over 300 vehicles at a cost of 1 euro per day, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing mobility and creating a vibrant community hub. The project underscores Estepona’s dedication to sustainability and resident well-being, reinforcing its reputation as a national leader in public space quality.
