At 8:30 p.m. today, the Estepona City Council will unveil the renovation project for Manuel Requena “Melilla” Square. This project has transformed the square into a more accessible public space for residents to enjoy, with new play areas for children and resting spots. The revitalized square now boasts shade, gardens, playgrounds, and a new lighting system, making it a modern and inviting place for relaxation and socializing. With a budget of nearly 395,000 euros, these improvements are part of the City Council’s initiative to enhance traditional neighborhoods according to current community needs. The work included replacing the pavement, sewer and water supply systems, and updating service connections and manholes. A fountain has also been added to the area.
