The cultural program for the summer in Estepona includes a performance by the renowned “Unstoppable Big Band” titled “The Kings of Swing” on Friday, August 21, at 9:30 p.m. in Chess Square. The ensemble from Málaga will take the audience on a journey through the world of swing and jazz, showcasing pieces by iconic figures such as Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Nat Adderley. Formed as a collaboration between students and instructors at the Professional Conservatories, the Unstoppable Big Band originated from the success of introducing a Big Band elective at the “Manuel Carra” Professional Conservatory of Málaga in the academic year 2004–2005. After celebrating two decades of performances, the swing-jazz band from Málaga is now focused on the future. With a discography of two studio albums and a history of over 100 members, the Unstoppable Big Band has established itself as a prominent figure in the genre due to its consistent quality on stage, lively and cheerful presence, and remarkable rapport with the audience.
