The Women’s Delegation is organizing a workshop titled ‘The substitutes for love’ on Valentine’s Day, February 14, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center. Prior registration is required at the Municipal Women’s Information Center. The Psychology Department of the center aims to raise awareness about the different ways men and women have been taught to love, and how this impacts emotional relationships. The workshop, led by psychologist Ana Jesus Andrades Ruiz, will prompt participants to ponder on the concept of love and its various forms. The day will include exercises on how various forms of media influence our perceptions of love, as well as discussions on the substitutes of love such as dependence, approval, and infatuation. The event will conclude with the screening of the story ‘Cinderella who did not want to eat partridges’ and a debate.
