A new public parking lot with nearly 400 spaces will be integrated into the existing network at a cost of 1 euro per day. Estepona City Council has begun the process of expanding the public parking network with the drafting of a project for a new parking lot in La Lobilla area. The aim is to improve urban mobility and increase parking availability at affordable rates. The proposed underground parking lot will have two floors, totaling around 390 parking spaces for light vehicles. The selected company has two and a half months to complete the project. The initiative also includes revitalizing the area and enhancing the surrounding public facilities, such as the Municipal Sports Center of La Lobilla. Landscaping will be a key aspect of the project, ensuring a pleasant environment with adequate shading. These new spaces will supplement the existing 2,000 parking spots in the municipality, including those at the new City Hall, Antonia Guerrero square, Athletics Stadium, and Chess Square, with additional lots planned for Plaza del Carmen and Bulevar Parque Central.
