Various tasks such as roof repairs, bathroom maintenance, and painting are currently being conducted in schools. Estepona’s City Council is implementing nearly a dozen improvement and maintenance projects in schools across the municipality during the non-school days of White Week. The Children and Education department has instructed municipal brigades to perform these actions while students are away, ensuring quicker completion without disruption. The work program includes repairs, painting, masonry, and plumbing, among other tasks. Specific actions include repairing classroom roofs and bathrooms, painting ceilings, and carrying out plumbing repairs in various schools. Urgent works at El Mar Nursery School were necessary due to a water leak. Since the start of the academic year 2024/2025, the City Council has been undertaking painting, masonry, locksmithing, and structural works in educational facilities. These efforts, along with summer maintenance projects, form part of the comprehensive maintenance plan focused on various aspects such as painting, masonry, locksmithing, and plumbing, as well as electrical and fire protection system upkeep. The City Council remains committed to year-round maintenance of educational institutions, with over a thousand actions completed annually.
