Estepona City Council has released the participation guidelines for the 9th Andalusian Horse Saddle-Up Contest, part of the 2026 Estepona Fair and Annual Festivities from July 7 to 12. Macarena Diánez, overseeing the Festivals Department, aims to showcase Estepona Fair and Annual Festivals decorations, traditions, and customs through this contest. Participants must register at the Fairgrounds on the event day, arriving an hour before the contest starts. Prior to the event, participants must submit necessary documents to City Hall Registration Desk. The jury, comprising equestrian professionals and federation members, will evaluate participants based on attire and Andalusian equestrian tradition adherence. Each participant can compete in a single category: Rider, Junior Rider, Senior Rider, Pair, or Female Rider. Prizes include cash and trophies for the top five placements in each category, in partnership with Estepona Horse Friends Association.
