The presentation of the new book will be held on Thursday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m., with open access until the venue reaches full capacity. The main goal is to raise funds for the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Estepona. The Estepona City Council has announced that the event will take place at the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall in Casa de Las Tejerinas, situated in Plaza de Las Flores. Salvador Gómez Mena, the Estepona native, will present his poetry book ‘The chill of her eyes’. Born in Estepona in 1970, Salvador Gómez Mena hails from a modest fishing family. He imbibed values like education, respect, kindness, and serenity from his parents, Antonio Gómez and Salvi Mena. A proud father of two daughters, Alba and Nydia, Salvador feels privileged to have been born in Estepona. After completing his primary education at Victor de la Serna Public School, it took him two decades to nurture his passion for writing and storytelling. His literary journey began with poetry collections such as ‘Hearts of Dawn’ and novels like ‘Marbas and the Book of Light’. Over time, he diversified his literary portfolio with works like ‘The Dream of Fish’, ‘Winds of Love and Ashes’, and ‘Barefoot Rain’. Salvador also contributed to charitable projects like ‘Christmas Lyrics’ to aid the underprivileged in war-torn Ukraine, and all proceeds from ‘Barefoot Rain’ support the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. His published works include ‘Hearts of Dawn’, ‘The Dream of Fish’, ‘Marbas and the Book of Light’, ‘The Last Arévaco’, ‘Winds of Love and Ashes’, ‘Barefoot Rain’, ‘When We Were Fire and Other Battles’, ‘Bereshit, In the Beginning’, ‘The Butterfly Who Forgot How to Flutter Her Wings’, ‘Born Again’, ‘Like an Eagle at Forty’, ‘To the Stars Through Hardships’, ‘The Puzzle Piece’, ‘Legend and Truth’, ‘My Love for You’, and the poetic trilogy ‘Of Seasons and Verses’, comprising ‘Half a Song of Autumn’, ‘Seven Summers in One Spring’, and ‘The Winter of Daisies’.
