The renowned Spanish guitar master Rolando Saad will be accompanied by the Grand Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (Ministry of Culture of Ukraine). Estepona City Council announces a concert on Sunday, February 8, at 6:00 pm, at the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium, showcasing two timeless pieces: Carmina Burana and the Concierto de Aranjuez. This special evening will blend Spanish passion with epic strength in a unique performance. The event will feature the radiant Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo, celebrating the 125th anniversary of his birth, and the dynamic Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, creating a dialogue between Spain’s soul and the medieval era’s powerful energy. Rolando Saad, a master of the Spanish guitar, will lead the audience through the enchanting gardens of the Palacio de Aranjuez, delivering a performance that has captivated over two million spectators worldwide. Accompanied by the Gran Orquesta Sinfónica, Saad will convey the joyful and nostalgic essence of Rodrigo’s iconic work. Carmina Burana, a masterpiece beloved by art enthusiasts, celebrates hedonism, love, changing fortunes, and earthly pleasures through its powerful choral and orchestral arrangements. Based on ancient medieval poems, the cantata also offers a sharp critique of society. Premiering in 1937, Carmina Burana remains a vibrant and popular piece in the classical music repertoire. Experience two worlds in one unforgettable night, from the delicate melodies of a guitar evoking Andalusia to the fiery choruses that exalt the intensity of life. This concert is a journey of emotions, vibrations, and lasting memories. Tickets can be purchased at teatroestepona.com or at the Auditorium box office on the day of the performance, starting two hours before the show.
