From February 26 to March 18, the public can visit an exhibition of abstract paintings by Estepona-based Mallorcan artist Catalina Juliá at Room 2 of Casa de Las Tejerinas in Plaza de las Flores. Titled ‘Living after everything’, the exhibition features nearly twenty large-scale artworks highlighting the importance of color. Visitors can explore the artworks on Tuesdays to Fridays from 10:00 to 20:00, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, with free entry. Born in Campos, Balearic Islands, Catalina Juliá now resides in Estepona, where she pursued painting as a form of therapy to overcome an autoimmune disease. Through a mix of colors, textures, and abstract techniques, she discovered a new purpose in life. Her art, created to convey emotions and experiences, combines materials and colors intuitively to capture vulnerable yet powerful moments, inviting viewers to feel rather than analyze.
