From July 2 to 22, visitors can admire the exhibition of Madrid-based artist Ana Kai’s paintings from the series “Materia y Memoria” at Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas in Plaza de las Flores. Ana Kai’s work delves into the surface as a space of inscription, sedimentation, and transformation. Using collages, layered textures, glazes, textiles, pigments, and diverse materials, she crafts compositions that hover between organic abstraction and emotional mapping, hinting at internal landscapes where fragility and solidity, luminosity and erosion, coexist harmoniously in a quiet tension. Each artwork emerges as a delicate realm where materials retain imprints, tensions, and fragments of memory, shaping a visual language rooted in accumulation, deconstruction, and endurance. The exhibition will run until July 22, welcoming visitors Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free entry.
