A chance to learn piano, guitar, saxophone, and clarinet is now available at the Music Conservatory of Estepona, situated in the Mirador del Carmen premises. Starting from today, April 1, aspiring students can apply for a spot in the Elementary Conservatory of Music for the 2026/2027 academic year. The deadline for registration is April 30 for those interested in mastering the clarinet, guitar, piano, or saxophone. A total of 48 places are up for grabs, with 15 for piano, 15 for guitar, 12 for saxophone, and 6 for clarinet. Applications can be submitted online through the Virtual Secretariat of Centers, offering families the opportunity to track the progress of their application. Alternatively, documentation can be submitted in person at the Conservatory on weekday afternoons from 16:00 to 20:00. Aptitude tests are scheduled between May 18 and June 5, 2026, following the regulations set out for music education in Andalusia. For applicants to higher courses, specific entrance exams may be required, with details to be announced by July 13, 2026. Enrollment in these courses does not guarantee placement and will depend on availability. Allocation of spots will be based on criteria outlined in the Order of March 13, 2013, with preference given to applicants aged between 8 and 12 years for the first year. The Music Conservatory of Estepona, established through a collaboration between the City Council and the Andalusian Government, has seen full enrollment since opening in 2024. More information can be found on the official website www.conservatorioestepona.com or by contacting the center via email: 29020693.edu@juntadeandalucia.es.
