A comprehensive remodeling and infrastructure plan for districts and neighborhoods has been approved by the Plenary. The project entails the renovation of streets in areas such as the Armed Forces, around the Orchidarium, or the Marqués del Duero Avenue in Cancelada. Measures to promote subsidized housing for rent and VPO for sale have also been given the green light. The Estepona City Council has approved a budget amendment to allocate approximately 4.5 million euros from the surplus of 2024 to this plan. The initiative covers entire neighborhoods like Montemayor Street and Marqués de Duero Avenue in Cancelada. It includes works in the Fuerzas Armadas neighborhood, the streets around the Orquidario, and the roads between Plaza del Ajedrez and Avenida de Andalucía. These interventions address all infrastructures, from service networks to paving and accessibility measures. The budget settlement of 2024 has yielded positive economic data, with a record surplus and budget stability. The aim is to invest in the development of Estepona. The Plenary has also approved a budget amendment to pay off inherited debt and plans for a tax reduction in the future. Initiatives for creating subsidized housing and protecting new housing buyers have been given the green light.
