On Saturday, May 30th, starting at 6:30 p.m., José Vázquez square will be the venue for the I Solidarity Night Market ‘La Noche de Noa’ in Cancelada. The City Council of Estepona has announced that this event aims to raise funds for a girl suffering from ‘spinal muscular atrophy’, a genetic and degenerative disease without a current cure but with available treatment. Deputy mayor of the Extrarradio area, Begoña Ortiz, highlighted that this craft market will showcase 30 diverse stands. Emphasizing its role in promoting neighborhood unity, citizen engagement, and support for the essential cause of the association ‘Los Pasos de Noa’, the mayor also underlined the recreational aspect of the event. The festivities, starting at 18:30, will include a concert by the choir ‘Son y Sal’ at 19:30, a performance by the dance academy ‘Only Flamenco’ led by teacher Ana Guerrero at 20:30, and entertainment by Dj Pepe at 21:30. Attendees can enjoy additional activities such as a themed photocall for fun photos, children’s workshops, crafts, and a captivating gymkhana around Cancelada’s courtyards. President of the Association Los Pasos de Noa, Maria Jose Fernandez Marchante, announced the presence of a solidarity bar offering food and drinks, with proceeds directed to the cause. She expressed gratitude to the City Council for their support and encouraged citizen participation, stating ‘Noa needs your help’.
