The Municipal Band will mark its 85th founding anniversary with a special concert dedicated to Santa Cecilia, kicking off the new season of the symphonic cycle 2025-26. Scheduled for Saturday, November 22, at 8:00 p.m., the concert will be held at the Teatro Auditorio Felipe VI, led by Mtro. J.A. López Camacho. The highlight of the event will be the presentation of the original manuscript of the posthumous work ‘Axar’. Invitations can be obtained starting from Monday, November 17, at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel. The concert, divided into two parts, will feature symphonic music including the concert pasodoble ‘Música i Poble’ and the recovered ‘Axarquía’ manuscript. The second part will see the Municipal Band collaborate with the Magnum Mysterium Choir in a Lyrical Gala showcasing zarzuela and opera choruses. Special guests such as Paloma Artola Küstner and castanet soloist Soraya Chico will also be performing.
