The inaugural Charity Ham Carving Event will be held in Estepona, featuring around 40 skilled professionals showcasing their carving talents. Scheduled for Sunday, September 13, the event will run from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Plaza del Ajedrez, with all proceeds going to the Spanish Cancer Association in Estepona. María Aguilar, responsible for the Citizen Participation Department; Julia Crespo, president of the Spanish Cancer Association in Estepona; and ham carver Agustín Hernández unveiled the event today. Attendees can enjoy ham tastings for a charitable price of 5 euros per plate, along with musical performances, raffles, and an information booth hosted by the Estepona branch of the AECC. The primary goal of this initiative is to raise funds to support free services for cancer patients and their families, as well as to contribute to cancer research. Organizers aim to establish this event as a key charity fundraiser in the municipality, promoting community involvement and spreading awareness on prevention, research, and support for cancer.
