The renowned German author, who has sold over 350,000 books across various countries, will be autographing copies of his books on Tuesday, August 19, starting at 9:00 pm. The Estepona Town Hall has announced that Claus Mikosch, the German writer behind the popular series ‘The Little Buddha’, will be signing copies of his books at the XXX Summer Book Fair on Tuesday, August 19, starting at 21:00 hours. The fair is currently taking place at the Paseo Marítimo in the town. ‘The Little Buddha’ series is not focused on Buddhism, but rather explores the inner Buddha that resides within each of us. It follows the adventures of a curious traveler who roams the world, observing life with great wonder. Regardless of the situation or the people he encounters, he always has thought-provoking questions in mind: Can one truly always be happy? Is constant happiness really desirable? And why do so many individuals prefer fear over courage? The journey of ‘The Little Buddha’ began in August 2007 when Claus and his 4-year-old daughter would walk near a Buddhist temple, sparking insightful conversations about Buddha. This inspired the author to document their dialogues and turn them into captivating stories. Each book in the series presents ‘Little Buddha’ pondering on various life themes such as happiness, love, change, time, home, and peace. The series has been a massive success, selling over 350,000 copies in countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Korea, India, Russia, and the UK. The first installment was also released in Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Spain in 2024. Hailing from Mönchengladbach, Germany, Claus Mikosch is not only an author but also a filmmaker and astrologer. He embarked on a journey around the globe after completing his education, developing a deep connection with India, pursuing studies in the UK, and eventually settling in southern Spain for an extended period. Currently, he divides his time between his various homes, crafting engaging tales that shed light on the intricacies of life.
