The latest creation, crafted by street artist José Enrique Rangel ‘Bestror’, is a homage to the library at this school. Estepona’s mayor, José María García Urbano, paid a visit to CEIP Santo Tomás de Aquino to admire the newly unveiled artistic mural within its premises. The masterpiece was brought to life by graffiti artist José Enrique Rangel ‘Bestror’, with a focus on the school’s library. This particular space houses a vast collection of books, mostly donated, in order to provide students with a wide array of genres, authors, and themes. The mayor, accompanied by the school’s management and members of the parents’ association, highlighted the City of Estepona’s contribution to the project by supplying the necessary equipment for ‘Bestror’ to display his artwork on one of the school walls. García Urbano pointed out that this marks the third mural at CEIP Santo Tomás de Aquino, showcasing the institution’s commitment to bringing artistic expression to its students. Previously, the local government also assisted with machinery for the creation of another mural centered around the world of chess. The mayor expressed gratitude to the school authorities for engaging in such initiatives aligned with the municipal project of the Artistic Murals Route, which has facilitated the development of over 70 large-scale outdoor artworks. This initiative, now a nationally recognized urban art landmark, has brought art to various neighborhoods and residential areas of the city. Furthermore, the project encompasses a diverse range of styles and movements, captivating the interest of urban art enthusiasts.
