The inaugural session of ‘Health Space: Open House’ will focus on a comprehensive approach to managing pain. Scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the event will be held at Casa de las Tejerinas. Council member Julia Simón and Hospiten Estepona’s managing director, Gerardo Bravo, will introduce the first session of the ‘Health Space: Open Sessions’ program. This fresh health awareness initiative, aimed at fostering health, prevention, and residents’ well-being, will be an ongoing quarterly program involving various healthcare institutions like Hospital Costa del Sol, Sevitas, among others. The council member emphasized that the project aims to provide residents with reliable information from top healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration between local government and the healthcare sector. The inaugural session on June 30 will offer a multidisciplinary view on pain management, focusing on the Pain Unit’s role in assessing and offering personalized treatment to patients. The session will discuss advancements in surgical techniques for spinal pain and minimally invasive procedures to enhance the quality of life for individuals dealing with chronic pain. The event will feature Hospiten’s Medical Director José Carlos Salas and Alicia Jiménez from the Pain Unit presenting on ‘An Integrative Approach to Chronic Pain.’ Additionally, traumatologist Eduardo Sosa and neurosurgeon Carlos Santos will address ‘Treatment of Spinal Pain’ and ‘Surgical Treatment of Spinal Pain,’ respectively. Both Julia Simón and Gerardo Bravo praised the joint effort between the City Council and Hospiten, underscoring their shared commitment to community health and disseminating valuable healthcare knowledge through an inclusive, public-oriented approach.
