The repair and stabilization works in Playa Bella, carried out by the City Council, included the reinforcement of a 35-meter wall using micropiles and backfill, as well as the extension of an existing stairway. Estepona City Council has announced the completion of the project, which aimed to address damage caused by sea storms in the coastal corridor connecting La Chimenea with Playa Bella. The investment of 129,175 euros covered the repair of the retaining wall and the damaged access stairs in the area. Originally built in 2015, the corridor features a 325-meter wooden walkway and is 320 meters long. Due to wear and tear from storms, a concrete retaining wall was constructed during the recent repair works to ensure its stability.
