The complete renovation of the street lighting around the Botanical Orchid Park in Estepona includes the installation of new luminaires specifically designed to illuminate only the transit area without affecting circadian cycles. In addition to public lighting, scenic lighting will be added throughout the park to enhance its beauty. This project complements the recent comprehensive remodeling of the area, which involved renewing pavement, street furniture, irrigation systems, and botanical species. The replacement of approximately 60 luminaires with energy-efficient LED technology will reduce electricity consumption and improve sustainability. The new lighting system is designed to direct light towards pedestrian traffic areas, minimizing light dispersion and avoiding glare to protect the environment and neighbors. Scenic lighting will highlight the diverse plant species in the park, enhancing its botanical richness and overall appeal. The recent interventions in the Orquidario Botanical Park, coinciding with its tenth anniversary, have improved its image and services, incorporating new tree and botanical species, enhancing accessibility, adding urban furniture, and modernizing irrigation facilities. Additionally, the exterior walls of the Orchidarium building have been treated with waterproofing paint, and glazed security panels on access stairs have been replaced. These efforts aim to make the park a more sustainable, accessible, and appealing destination for residents and visitors.
