Commencing today, the Estepona City Council has initiated the construction of a breakwater wall to strengthen and enhance the safety of La Cala road. With an investment of 78,650 euros, the works are expected to be completed within one and a half months. La Cala road serves as a vital communication route connecting various areas and activities in the town. Due to heavy storms, a part of the slope supporting the road has detached, leading to the urgent need for a new containment structure. The deputy mayor of Development, Infrastructure, and Tourism has outlined the plans for the construction, which include redirecting surface water flow to prevent future issues. During the construction period, traffic will be diverted to alternative routes such as Camino de Los Molinos, La Lobilla, or Camino Reinoso.
