Development of a 20,000 square meter green area underway in the eastern periphery of the urban area
A new green space is set to be established in the eastern suburbs of Estepona, covering an area of 20,000 square meters in La Boladilla sector. The project, led by the developer with the necessary municipal approvals, will feature natural meadows, Mediterranean plant species, and 300 trees. The space will also include a sports court, bio-healthy circuits, and two children’s playgrounds with inclusive equipment. Pedestrian paths, lighting, and an automated irrigation system are part of the plan. The use of polymers in planting will help conserve water by up to 50 percent. This initiative adds to previous green areas developed in Estepona, contributing to the city’s above-average green space per capita.
