A Flamenco Workshop will bring together French students from the Erasmus program and singing students from the Academy ‘El Patio, Aprende a Cantar’ at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center. The event, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at 6:00 pm, is organized by IES Monterroso in collaboration with the City Council. Ana Fargas, a renowned singer, will lead the workshop. The activity is part of a series of cultural projects for Erasmus students, allowing them to engage in various activities such as guided tours and exploring the musical heritage of the region, including the UNESCO-recognized Flamenco. Participants will learn the fundamentals of Flamenco through practical sessions, highlighting the role of women in this art form. Flamenco, originating in Andalusia in the 18th century, combines singing, guitar, dance, and rhythmic clapping.
