A recent report from the Municipal Treasury has revealed that Estepona City Council managed to bring down the average payment period to suppliers to just 16 days in December. This marks a significant improvement compared to the staggering 1,492 days suppliers had to wait during the previous administration. The council will present this achievement in the upcoming plenary session, highlighting their commitment to efficient financial management. The current government team has made it a priority to settle invoices promptly, despite the legal allowance of up to 30 days for payment. By clearing off a debt of over 300 million euros accumulated until 2011, the council has not only improved its financial standing but also relieved the burden on local businesses. Through prudent spending and strategic savings, Estepona has successfully tackled the debt issue and set a new standard for fiscal responsibility.
