With over 300 million euros paid off, the City Council now has solid finances, allowing for a historic tax reduction. More than 7 million euros have been allocated primarily for property tax (IBI) rebates and exempting vulnerable groups from the garbage collection fee. Mayor José María García Urbano highlights the Council’s commitment to supporting all families, especially the most vulnerable, without raising taxes. The tax relief measures are possible due to the City Council’s fiscal discipline and high per capita public spending to boost the local economy.
