Improvement work is underway at Los Pedregales Park in preparation for the upcoming San Isidro Labrador pilgrimage. The road leading to the park and interior paths are being worked on, the hermitage is being painted, and enhancements are being made to the bathrooms and kitchen areas. The parking area near the park has also received upgrades. The Estepona City Council has announced that grooming work is being carried out to ensure the park is in top condition for the celebration on May 10. Clearing of the road sides totaling 12 kilometers where the pilgrimage occurs is in progress. Additionally, maintenance work on the interior roads includes brush and undergrowth clearance, pothole repairs with gravel, and compaction. Tree pruning, improvements to bathrooms and kitchen areas, and sealing of barbecues have been completed to reduce fire hazards. The hermitage has been repainted, damages repaired, and electrical and plumbing issues addressed. Street furniture has been refurbished, and the parking area with over 300 spaces has been cleaned up. Los Pedregales Park will be set for the pilgrimage honoring Estepona’s Patron Saint, San Isidro Labrador.
