Opposite the APRONA Foundation’s premises, Plaza Aurelio Gurrea Chalé will be unveiled by the Estepona City Council today at 8:30 p.m. This public space is dedicated to Aurelio Gurrea in appreciation of his exceptional contributions to social, cultural, educational, and professional spheres spanning over fifty years in Estepona. The council aims to immortalize the city’s gratitude and admiration for his selfless service, advocacy for social causes, cultural promotion, and unwavering commitment to Estepona. The revitalization project has modernized and enhanced the space, introducing new paving, street furniture, sewer and water networks, and stormwater drainage systems. The addition of green spaces, a fountain, and a drinking fountain has elevated the aesthetics and functionality of the area, creating a welcoming environment for all. Special attention has been given to the needs of APRONA Foundation’s beneficiaries, ensuring an inclusive and accessible space for individuals with disabilities.
