The modernization project will involve updating the water supply and sewer systems, installing new natural stone paving, revamping green spaces and landscaping, adding ornamental fountains, improving street lighting and scenic lighting, and creating a children’s play area. The aim is to transform this public space into a prominent landmark in the city center, enhancing its significance for the neighborhood. The renovation plans have been carefully designed to address the outdated appearance of the current plaza and its surroundings, with a focus on accessibility and aesthetic appeal. Feedback from residents and homeowners’ associations has been taken into consideration throughout the planning process. The project will also include drainage and waterproofing measures, preservation of existing parking spaces, and the implementation of new street furniture. This urban initiative is part of the larger ‘Estepona, Garden of the Costa del Sol’ project, aimed at improving the quality of life for residents and creating a more vibrant community.
