In a unanimous decision, the City Council of Estepona has given the green light to name a public space in the city as ‘Plaza Aurelio Gurrea ChalĂ©’ as a tribute to the exceptional social, cultural, educational, and professional contributions made by Aurelio Gurrea over more than fifty years. His remarkable dedication has been acknowledged through various accolades, such as being named an Honorary Citizen of Estepona in 2019 and receiving the Distinguished Cross of the 2nd Degree of San Raimundo de Peñafort from the Ministry of Justice.
