Over the course of Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st, a total of more than 100 matches are scheduled to be played at the San Fernando Soccer Field, the Francisco Muñoz Pérez Stadium, and the Athletics Stadium, with no entry fee required. The announcement was made by Luis Gil, the councilmember overseeing the Sports Department, and Carlos Navarro Pérez, the CEO of CNSports Tourism Agency, who introduced the ‘Estepona Summer CUP’ soccer event set to kick off in Estepona on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21. The tournament will see the participation of 54 teams across the pre-benjamín and youth categories. Organized by the CNSPORTS Tourism Agency in partnership with the City Council, the tournament aims to encourage youth involvement in sports, while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork in the area. Teams from 30 clubs, including representatives from Ceuta, Córdoba, Granada, Seville, Ciudad Real, Almería, Huelva, Jaén, Cádiz, and Málaga, will be competing alongside local Estepona teams in various age groups. The tournament will feature age categories spanning from pre-benjamines (ages 5–7) to cadetes (ages 14–15). Following a warm welcome on the 19th, matches are scheduled to take place on the 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on the 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the San Fernando Municipal Soccer Field, the Francisco Muñoz Pérez Municipal Soccer Stadium, and the Estepona Municipal Athletics Stadium. Entry to all matches will be free of charge.
