The Orchidarium recently participated in the annual orchid exhibition at the Lisbon Zoo and is set to be a guest at the XXIV Fiesta de los Patios Portuenses in El Puerto de Santa María and at the I Festival de las Orquídeas in Jimera de Líbar. The Estepona Town Hall has announced that the Botanical Orchid Park of Estepona will be taking part in three botanical events across Portugal and Andalusia. At the recent orchid exhibition in Lisbon, the Botanical-Orchidarium Park showcased a variety of orchids and provided detailed information about the different species housed in its facilities. Manuel Lucas, the curator of the park, delivered two lectures at the exhibition, focusing on topics such as the history of orchid hunters and the relationship between ants and orchids. These events are crucial for showcasing the diverse range of orchid species found in Estepona, attracting interest from orchid enthusiasts across Europe. Representatives from the Orchid Park of Estepona will also serve as judges at the upcoming XXIV Fiesta de los Patios Portuenses in El Puerto de Santa María, while Manuel Lucas will be presenting at the First Orchid Festival of Jimera de Líbar. The festival in Jimera de Líbar will include activities such as wild orchid hunts and gastronomic workshops featuring orchid extracts like vanilla.
