Scheduled for Sunday, July 26, at 11:00 a.m., the 9th Virgen del Carmen Coronada Open Water Swim will be held on La Rada Beach near Plaza del Diario ABC. Registration, limited to 300 participants, will be open until July 24 at 5:00 p.m. on dorsalchip.es. Estepona City Council recently presented this well-established event, organized by the Estepona Swimming Club (CNE) in collaboration with the council. The non-competitive and non-profit swim aims to promote swimming and attract local and international participants. Hundreds of open-water swimming enthusiasts are expected to attend, enjoying a day of sports and camaraderie. The event also supports charity through a partnership with Hermandad Nuestra Señora del Carmen Coronada, encouraging participants to donate one kilogram of non-perishable food items on the day of the event for Cáritas Parroquial del Carmen. The competition includes a children’s race with two distances and an adult category with 1,400 meters and 2,600 meters races. Registration is still available on www.dorsalchip.es until July 24 at 5:00 p.m., where the race rules are also provided.
