Estepona’s 25th Anniversary of International Residents Celebration

The 25th edition of the celebration for international residents in Estepona will take place this Saturday, April 25, from noon until 9:00 p.m. near the Torre Mirador del Carmen. 26 countries will come together for a day full of gastronomy, crafts, and cultural activities. The Estepona City Council announced the upcoming event, emphasizing the significance of reaching the 25-year milestone and establishing itself as a prominent cultural event on the town’s calendar. This event, organized by the local government, will showcase nearly thirty stands representing various international groups, displaying their countries’ products, cuisine, and crafts. This multicultural gathering aims to foster unity and understanding among residents and visitors alike. The Deputy Mayor of the Extraradio area, Begoña Ortiz, highlighted the event’s purpose of promoting harmony and cultural exchange among the diverse communities residing in Estepona. She also mentioned the special nature of this edition, recognizing the event’s role in promoting integration and diversity over the past 25 years. Participating countries include Germany, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, France, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, Mexico, Paraguay, Poland, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, Romania, Ukraine, and Venezuela, along with the Nordic Club representing Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Austria will also join the event for the first time this year. The event will honor Herling Robins, a Colombian salsa singer and Estepona resident, for his longstanding support and vibrant performances. Foreign media outlets will also be acknowledged for their contributions over the years, with various international magazines and media represented at the event. The celebration will feature Spanish folklore dances and a diverse cultural program with artists showcasing their talents. The event will conclude at 9:00 p.m., marking a quarter-century of fostering coexistence, integration, and mutual respect among cultures in Estepona.
